DETECTIVES are investigating two burglaries in the Saintfield area which they believe may be linked.
Both incidents were reported to police on Monday 18 November.
The first burglary occurred at a property in Moyra Park sometime between 10am and 7.25pm. A number of rooms were rifled through by the thieves who forced a side window to gain entry.
It’s believed a small amount of money was taken.
The second burglary took place at a house on Listooder Road. The rear patio doors were forced open and a television and a number of mobile phones were taken.
Detectives are also examining the possibility these break-ins may be linked to other incidents reported in the Ards area on Monday.
A house at Killinchy Street was entered via a forced window and a quantity of jewellery taken while an attempt was also made to enter the house next door at around 8.45pm.
Detectives are appealing for information and would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in any of these areas on the evening of Monday 18 November.
Officers can be contacted at Downpatrick CID on 0845 600 8000.
