SERC Celebrate Class of 2019.
Higher Education students from South Eastern Regional College (SERC) joined with family and friends to celebrate their efforts and academic achievements at the annual graduation ceremony which honoured over seven hundred, (700) full-time and part-time students at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall recently.
Pearce McFall (Newtownabbey) who graduated with an HND in Performing Arts gave the student Vote of Thanks in which he encouraged his fellow students to enjoy the day in recognition of their success and thanked parents, family, friends and of course, lecturers, for helping them achieve their qualifications.
Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive of SERC, said: “Graduation marks an important day in the lives of the hundreds of Higher Education students. I congratulate every student on their success.
“You have worked hard and today is evidence of your commitment to your chosen career paths. I wish you continued future success. Never stop learning and striving to better yourselves.”
Twelve students received excellence awards in recognition of their commitment to learning and training. The College’s prestigious Ishihara Award was presented to Jonathan McGregor (Dromara), Ulster University Foundation Degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Joseph Totton (Bangor), HND in General Engineering.
