A good night was had by all at John Mullan’s President’s Night on Saturday evening. A significant sum of money was raised for the Down Respiratory Group. Many thanks to all who helped out; local talent Clara Sharvin, Katie Quinn, Carole Deegan and the young Irish dancers who provided the entertainment, and JR Loudan who looked after the catering arrangements writes John Murphy.
The U-16’s footballers are away to Clonduff on Thursday and the Seniors take on An Riocht at home on Friday night.

U-12 Girls take on Bryansford away on Wednesday.
U-14 Girls away to Saul on Sunday and the Championship continues for the U-14’s on Monday night as they play away against Bredagh.
The Senior championship starts with a match against Kilcoo in Newry on Sunday 11 August.
The U-6’s are back training on Saturday morning along with the U-8’s and U-10’s at 10.30am. U’8s also train at 6pm on Wednesday evening and the U-10’s also on Thursday at 7pm.
Tickets are now on sale for the Wolfe Tones. They are coming to the club on 24 Aug, tickets cost £20. There will be a range of other events on the August Bank Holiday weekend, details to be confirmed. A Zumbathon will be held on 22nd as part of the RGU Festival at the Marquee Weekend, with a donation going to the Declan McMullan Fund Contact Edel on 07759418419 for tickets.
