UTV host Pamela Ballantine’s next UTV Life show promises to be a real hit with music lovers.
It includes former Westlife front man Shane Filan, and country legend Charley Pride both making a welcome return to UTV, as well as artists from the musical ‘Halfway to Paradise – The Billy Fury Story’ taking time out from rehearsals to chat and perform.
Shane, who has been a solo artist since 2013, will talk to Pamela about his new album, and viewers will get a chance to see the video for his new single ‘Unbreakable’. Shane’s list of accomplishments include 28 platinum discs and 40 million record sales worldwide with Westlife, as well as having released three albums since going solo.
Also on the show, reporter Rita Fitzgerald’s been out and about to chat to another much-loved musician, Charley Pride, who was in Northern Ireland for a special guest appearance at the Harvest Country Festival which took place in Enniskillen over the Bank Holiday weekend. Also joining him to talk to Rita were singers Una Healy, Mo Pitney and Cliona Hagan.
And if that wasn’t enough for music lovers, cast members of ‘Halfway To Paradise – The Billy Fury Story’ will be talking to Pamela about the upcoming show which tells the story of Billy Fury, the legendary rock’n’roller. Viewers will hear music from original band member Chris Raynor and artist Colin Gold who plays Billy in two hour long showcase coming to the Millennium Form and Grand Opera House in early September.
