NMD Calls For Registrations For St Patrick’s Parade

Apply now to take part in the NMD Council St Patrick’s Cross Community Parades

You can now apply to take part in the St Patrick’s Cross Community Carnival Parades for 2023 in Downpatrick and Newry by registering your interest with Newry Mourne and Down District Council.

Eoin McCartan, Council events supervisor said: “Newry, Mourne and Down District Council would like to invite your organisation to take part in the Saint Patrick’s Cross Community Carnival Parade on Friday 17 March 2023 in Downpatrick or Newry. 

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Downpatrick and Newry is set for Thursday 17th March. You can now apply to Newry Mourne and Down District Council to register to take part in the parade.

“All organisations and groups wishing to participate in the Parade must:

  • Complete the Parade Registration Form attached, send a copy of your public liability insurance (min £2,000,000) and agree to the Rules and Conditions of Entry attached.

“Organisations participating in the parade will receive a fee of £175 on submission of invoice post event.

“In order for the Council to issue this payment please complete the information on the application form, which will register your organisation on the new system in accordance with procurement guidelines.

“We will issue you with a Purchase Order number to confirm your participation in the St Patrick’s Day Parade and you must quote this number on your invoice when you submit it to Accounts Payable after the event at:
