McGrath Welcomes SDLP Support IN Anti-Bullying Campaign

The SDLP’s Colin McGrath has praised the work of the Stand Up to Bullying campaign organised by the Diana Award charity.

The South Down MLA has praised the work of the charity for its work in tackling the serious issues surrounding childhood bullying and the pervasive problem of bullying in the wider community.

He said:xa0“It’s a sad reality that a lot of our children will experience bullying throughout their childhood years.

“Our schools, our play parks and our streets should be a safe place for our children to go to without the fear of intimidation or bullying from their peers or others.

“We have a responsibility to challenge this sort of behaviour and ensure that children know who they can turn to if they are being bullied.

“Bullying in all forms is a horrible experience for a child, whether it is emotional, physical or online bullying. The work of the Diana Trust is outstanding and I am proud to support the work they are doing.
