Readers are reminded of the important Public Seminar and Health Fair focusing on Internet Safety is taking place on Thursday 10 September 2015 at 6pm in the Newcastle Centre.
Information and advice stands on suicide prevention and improving mental health will be open to all attendees providing a wide range of help, support and signposting to relevant agencies.
This public seminar acknowledges that every family is confronted at some stage with distress/stress and the event aims to highlight the key services available to help in these times of crisis and address the associated problems.
On Saturday 12 September, Walk for Life (organised as part of the Festival of Life) will leave from the Downs Road end of the Promenade at 11am and will last approximately one hour followed by a fun day in St Mary’s Primary School from 12noon to 3pm. The final event is an Interdenominational Remembrance Service in Our Lady of Assumption chapel which will take place on Sunday 13 September at 3pm.
