Drumaness Woman Convicted Of Benefit Fraud

A woman was convicted at Downpatrick Crown court today (Thursday 8 May) for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.dn_screen Arlene O’Connor (48) of Drumaness Road, Drumaness claimed Rates and Income Support totalling £69,373 while failing to declare she was claiming benefits abroad. She was given a twelve month prison sentence suspended for two years. She will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.xa0
