The Committee is asking those with particular interest in agriculture and rural development matters to offer views on which issues it should be concentrating on as it begins its new session in September. Speaking about the initiative, Committee Chairperson, Paul Frew MLA said, “The Committee is tasked with examining the work of the Department, and holding the Minister to account. However, our role is much broader than that. We also play an important part in supporting and advising the Minister and bringing forward issues and proposals that we believe will make a difference to those working in, or who dependent upon, the agriculture sector. “More information on how to become involved is available on the Assembly website. We hope that people will see this as a real opportunity to contribute to the work of the Assembly.”]]>
