Clarke Welcomes 40mph Limit In Burrenbridge

Mournes Sinn Féin Councillor Willie Clarke has welcomed thexa0installation of a 40 mile per hour speed limit in Burrenbridge.

He said: “Thexa0 community have been united in successfully lobbying the statutory agencies, and the Burrenbridge community group have been vital in harnessing the support of politicians and residents, in convincing the Department of Infrastructure to introduce the speed limit in Burrenbridge.

“The speed of cars entering Burrenbridge has caused great concern to local residentsxa0xa0and pedestrians are put at risk on a daily basis, including school children,

“The installation of the 40 mph speed limit will will help in reducing motorists speed before they enter the heavily populated area in Burrenbridge.”
