Bulletins on Ulster Scots and Irish Released by DCAL

Two statistical bulletins have been releasedu2028u2028by The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) today (11 December:

The “Knowledge and use of Irish in Northern Ireland 2012” u2028u2028and xa0“Knowledge and use of Ulster-Scots in Northern Ireland 2012” u2028u2028are now avaailable fro public scrutiny.

These bulletins report on the findings from the 2011/12 Continuous Household Survey and include topics such as:

· Current level of knowledge of the language.

· Current usage of the language: at home and socially.

· Interest in learning more about the language.

· Historical statistics on the language.
