Banbridge trainer Natalia Lupini who is enjoying her best season todate since moving from Milan to base her training operation in the province near will run a duo of horses on the opening session of the Irish showcase event the Champions weekend at Leopardstown this Saturday 9th September writes Joe Kavanagh.

Natalía Lupini, a Banbrdge trainer who hails from Italy, will be racing two horses at Leopardstown on Saturday 9th September.

Kitty Rose made an impressive winning debut at Naas last month racing in second until leading two furlongs from home and quickly asserting for a comprehensive victory on the two year old’s debut and contests the £100,000 Ingabelle Listed Stakes.

The trainer’s stable star Dunum already a six times winner including at the Galway Festival last month has major claims in the £150,000 Sovereign Path Handicap. 

The five year old gelding joined the trainer from Downpatrick trainer Pat Turley last year and has proved a revelation over the seven furlong trip. 

The original rating of 58 when acquired by current connections has long since soared to a group rating of 101 and should be a major player in tomorrow’s contest.

The Belfast-based Hunt family long associated with their team of jumpers now have an excellent team for the flat with Layfayette.

Layfayette is the winner of nine races and nearly half a million in prize money running in the Group 3 Paddy Power Stakes partnered by champion jockey Colin Keane and can be involved at the finish.
