Ballynahinch RFC Rugby Round-up.
25th August 2018.
Club Notes.
An excellent win for the 1st XV at home to City of Armagh saw Hinch hit the ground running as they prepare for another tough season in Division 1B. The team built on last weeks friendly win over Ballymena to claim a bonus point win over the defending SONI Premiership champions and there was much to encourage Brian McLaughlin and his coaching team.
The 2nd XV opened their Conference League programme with an excellent win at Portadown. 10-nil down approaching half time, they fought back well to win 31 -15, with tries from McCoubrey, Cooper and a Gill hat trick.
Mini rugby returns on Saturday morning from 9.30-11am. Boys and girls from P1 – Yr8 are all welcome, with training run for each age group in their school year. Mini rugby news is posted weekly on the club Facebook page:

Pre-match lunches will be extremely busy this season with 4 local derbies to look forward to in Division 1B and the return of St.Mary’s RFC to Ballymacarn Park. As a result the club has introduced a 250 club ticket which guarantees the holder a place at all nine home AIL lunches as well as the Malone SONI Premiership game. For more information see any member of council.
Tickets for the New Zealand game this autumn are proving to be in high demand and the club is holding a draw for two tickets plus an overnight stay in Dublin. Priced at £5, they are available from all council members.
