Following the success of last year, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is once again hosting the Ballynahinch Harvest and Country Living Event in the Market Square in Ballynahinch on Saturday 19 September from 12noon to 4pm.
The event, set up to celebrate the pig, potato and pageantry, which the town was once popular for, will see Phil’s Farm trot into town giving children the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite animals.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Naomi Bailie said: “Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is delighted to implement FREE events for families to enjoy. I would encourage local businesses to get involved and dress up their shop windows in line with the harvest and country living theme. Last year the town looked fantastic and it will be great if more businesses hay up and make sure the town is looking amazing for this event.”
