THE Committee and Members wish to extend their sincere sympathy to the Family of Derek Reid, Father of former senior player and U-10 Coach Gregory, and Grandfather of U-8 player Adam. Derek was a great supporter of the club, especially during his time as proprietor of the Green Heights. He will be sadly missed.
Match Updates
The senior’s poor run continued in the last fortnight with an away loss to Glassdrumman last Monday and a home defeat to Darragh Cross on Friday night. In both games the damage was done in the first half, as the opposition raced into unassailable leads despite a spirited come back in the second half.
The Reserves continued their recent good form with two wins away to Castlewellan and Home to Dromara, in the first game Eamon McEvoy led the full forward line well and scored two fine goals. He was assisted well by Mark Deegan. In the second game, Ardglass racked up a high score keeping Dromara to 1-1 and scoring 3-18.
The Minors had their first victory of the season with a high scoring win away to Newry Mitchels with Eoin Curran doing most of the scoring in the forward division with the help of Finnegan, Teggart and McConville.
The Under 14’s had two good wins in successive weeks, the first away to Tecconaught with Mark Magennis scoring 4-2 and assisted by Ross, Curran and Costello. The second game at home was a great performance against the previously unbeaten Cill Darragh with good performances from Flynn, Crangle and O’Shea
The U-12’s had a two point victory over St John’s in a game of two half’s. Ardglass dominated with the wind in the final quarter and overcame six point deficit with Cusack, Rogan and Wills all playing well.
