This match proved to be an entertaining and exciting battle in which the Ford just about squeezed through writes Michael McCartan.

In a game, in which both sides scrambled half their points from frees, Annaclone fought their way back from a five point deficit but just ran out of time to snatch at least a share of the points.

Five first half frees, including one by Ford keeper, Mark Reid, aided the visitors to a 0.08 to 0.05 half-time lead.

Annaclone claimed four of their points from play with halfback, Eamon Doyle causing the Ford defence numerous problems with his free roaming.

The Ford may have won the first half but it was the home side that had advantage in the second. Over exuberant marking nearly cost Bryansford their victory, giving away three frees inside a two minute period with minutes remaining.

Kevin Anderson punished but, as in the first half, frees from the boot of the Ford’s Ciaran Brannigan secured the win.
