Chelsey Logan enjoys life as Brentford FC sports’ education co-ordinator

Chelsey is the Education Project Officer at Brentford Football Club and will be chatting to Chis Scott on Wednesday 7th September 2022 from 7-8pm.
Chelsey, who was interviewed recently on BBC Radio London, is a former pupil at Blackwater Integrated College and SERC Downpatrick. She talks to Chris about her journey from school to University and her career path to date.
In 2017 she attended St Marys University in Twickenham where she graduated in 2020 with a BSc(Hons) in Coaching, Science and Physical Education.
Chelsey commenced her career as an Educational Tutor with Harlequins Rugby Club, a premiership club based in London. She delivered BTEC and GCSE qualifications to a range of NEET and Special Needs learners aged 16-20 years old.
In March 2021 Chelsey continued to follow her dreams and accepted the position of Education Programme Coordinator with Brentford.
Chelsey has never forgotten her roots. She said: “If it wasn’t for Blackwater and its teaching staff, I would not have found my passion for sports and education. This enabled me to further my own education and find my dream job.”
When asked about a word of encouragement for those who are following behind her, Chelsey explained to Chris that “You just don’t let anybody stand in your way and tell you that you can’t do something.
“If you really put your mind to it and put the hours of practice, not just in sport but in education or in anything you want to do, then you will reap the rewards after that.”
Chelsey is certainly an inspiration to those young people who want to follow their dreams!
