You could be stepping back into time… into a different reality of the set from the Game of Thrones!
Caroline Nolan, Strangford Lough Lecale Partnership manager, said: “Nearly 8,000 people thronged Strangford and Portaferry last year and the feedback was tremendously positive.
“This year’s programme is once more packed with mostly free, family events and activities which includes a rare opportunity to get your hands on marine mini-beasties and see behind the scenes of the Queen’s University Marine Laboratory.
“Coastal rowing races, exploring the shore, using the Spyball underwater camera, graveyards walks, and a medieval banquet are just some of the goodies in this year’s Festival programme.
“The Festival is run by the Strangford Lough and Lecale Partnership , supported by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Ards and North Down Borough Council. It is sponsored by EnAlgae.
“Book your boat tours early to avoid disappointment. Everyone is welcome. It is a great family experience.”
