Public Encouraged To Respond To eHealth And Care Strategy

There is still time for people to respond to the public consultation on the proposed eHealth and Care strategy for Northern Ireland which ends on the 9 January 2015 at 5.00pm.

dn_screeneHealth is not just about technology but also about how it is used to help care for people. Developing eHealth systems will provide support for staff to improve the effectiveness, quality and safety of the care they provide. Services too can be better arranged around the patient and better information for staff and the public can support improved and faster decision making.

Valerie Watts, Chief Executive of the Health and Social Care Board has reminded people to respond, and said: “I would encourage everyone to take part in the public consultation and help us make sure that eHealth and Care makes the best possible contribution to improving health and wellbeing for everyone.

“The Board has been seeking the views of patients, clients, families, carers and the general public to help inform decisions about these proposals and a series of public meetings have already taken place. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far for their open and thought provoking engagement with the strategy team.”
