Three men aged 21, 24 and 26 were arrested by police in Downpatrick on Thursday on suspicion of ‘going equipped for theft’.
The males were detained after a car was stopped by a police patrol close to Down Business Centre on Belfast Road shortly before midnight. A number of items including empty oil drums were seized from the vehicle. There had been a couple of oil thefts in the Busines Park over recent months.
Enquiries are ongoing with the police.
