Macmillan is a tremendous charity doing wonderful work for the 1 in 3 of us who are affected by cancer. Simon Hamilton added, “When I was Chair of Stormont’s Social Development Committee I visited Macmillan’s benefits advice service at the Cancer Centre in Belfast City Hospital.xa0 I saw for myself some of the first rate work that Macmillan are able to do with the money that our coffee morning has helped raise. “People who are diagnosed with cancer are first and foremost concerned about their health but they also need practical support including financial assistance.xa0 Macmillan work with cancer patients to ensure that just as their health needs are taken care of, so are their financial needs. “I am glad that by hosting our coffee morning we have been able to raise so much for Macmillan.xa0 We look forward to Macmillan continuing with their amazing work helping those suffering from cancer”.]]>
