Santa Arrives at Little SERC by Fire Truck
Children at Little SERC got a big surprise on Thursday 14th December when Santa took time out of his busy schedule.
Santa IS still making a list and IS checking it twice – to call at the creche at SERC’s Newcastle Campus.xa0
He arrived by fire truck, whilst the reindeers were resting up for the Big Night for Christmas eve when they have to fly from Lapland!
Ursula Maginn, Creche Manager said: “We were thrilled to have Santa visit us again, a testament to all the good boys and girls, mums and dads who are learning and studying at Newcastle Campus.
UIna added: “We are especially grateful to our good friends from NI Fire & Rescue Service in Newcastle for escorting Santa to the creche.
“And to the Prescribe Art Group & Sew ‘n’ Sew for making the tremendous fireplace background and gift.
“Tesco Newcastle also assisted with their kind donation of a toy hamper for a raffle amongst the students. Parents and guardians both past and presentalso lent their their continued support to Little SERC;
“And of course to Santa himself, a big thank you for taking the time to meet with the children and to hear their last minute Christmas wishes and making the visit so very special.”
Santa was also delighted to meet some ot the students – including The Grinch – xa0and teaching team at Newcastle Campus.
The team worked in partnership with local Social Workers and Social Care team to collect and donate gifts for carers and older people who may be alone this festive season.
