Mr Shannon said: “The new club has done considerable environmental work around the three acre lake with new paths right around the lake. Yhere are numerous stands and platforms for fishing and access for able-bodied and disabled fishermen and women. The new club offers much opportunity, and on that day as I watched some young people catching their first fish. It was clear that it is an experience that will never be forgotten. “There can be excellent work done with young people in the Ards area to draw them away from anti-social behaviour and give them an interest in fishing. This is the biggest leisure activity in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, It is there for all men and women, young and old, all ethnicity and all for a small membership fee. “This was a big day at mountain road lake for TAGIT Fishing Club, the summer is coming and you couldn’t spend it doing anything better than this fishing right here in Newtownards.”]]>
