Two Intruders Rob Downpatrick Home At Knife Point

Intruders have robbed a homeowner at knifepoint of a large sum of money

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary at a house on Rathkeltair Road in Downpatrick overnight.

It is understood two masked men forced their way into the property at around 11.30pm on Wednesday 18 September.

They threatened the occupant, holding him at knifepoint for over an hour and forcing him to hand over a large sum of cash.

The pair then made off on foot in the direction of Downpatrick town centre.

Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone with information regarding this crime.
