Finnebrogue Sponsors Down Triathlon Club Big Race

The Beyond The Wall Race Run By The Down Triathlon Club Has Finnebrogue As 2024 Title Sponsor

Beyond the Wall, organised by Triathlon Ireland’s esteemed ‘Triathlon Club of the Year 2023’, Down Triathlon Club is thrilled to announce Finnebrogue as their title sponsor for this year’s National Series race.

The highly anticipated annual event is back at Castle Ward Estate for it’s third consecutive year, first as National Series on Sunday 30th June 2024 with an 8.30am start.

Anticipating a turnout of 450 dedicated triathletes, the event promises a day of thrilling competition.

Beyond the Wall Triathlon challenges athletes from all over the island of Ireland to embark on a truly extraordinary adventure.

They will be pushing their physical and mental limits to conquer ‘the wall’.

Inspired by its setting – the location of Game of Thrones at Castle Ward Estate, participants are invited to test their limits.

The support is not only for race promotion but also to elevate the overall race day experience.

Finnebrogue will provide financial backing to ensure the event’s excellence.

Moreover, Finnebrogue will host a post-race hot dog stand for both triathletes and marshals, featuring their premium Finnebrogue range – gluten-free and crafted without artificial preservatives.

About Finnebrogue

Finnebrogue is a family-owned business and one of the UK’s most innovative food producers. Its story can be traced back to 1991, when the late Denis Lynn bought the Finnebrogue Estate in County Down.

Over the next 33 years, along with his wife Christine, transformed the family farm into a £200m food business.

It’s the land where they first bred a herd of deer. Where they built a business with a handpicked team that has now grown into a community of over one thousand loyal people.

Finnebrogue made its name producing premium sausages for leading supermarkets, before launching its revolutionary Naked Bacon, made without nitrites in 2017.

It remains the only mass-produced bacon to be made without nitrites, the curing chemicals used in most other bacon and hams that have been linked to colorectal cancer by the World Health Organisation.

In 2020, Finnebrogue opened the doors to a state-of-the-art, purpose-built, plant-based facility, the most advanced of its kind in Europe.

From here, it produces numerous own-label meat-free products to leading supermarkets, including Tesco, Aldi and Marks & Spencer.

Finnebrogue’s mantra remains unchanged in 33 years:

we make food the best it can be without being bound by the way it has always been done.’
