Trust Starts New Course For MS Patients

The South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust has launched a new five-week course for patients who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

This is a course for those who have been diagnosed within the past five years and is designed to educate, encourage, inspire, motivate and empower.

Each week has a different theme and includes benefits of exercise, how to manage fatigue, health and wellbeing, smoking cessation, patient stories, continence advice etc.

Those who attend the course can learn new techniques to use every day which will improve quality of life. It is also an opportunity to make friends and realise they are not alone, there is also help and support if they are having a relapse or symptoms worsen.

Spaces are still available on the course for patients and relatives.

To book a place, please contact the MS Secretary on (028) 9598 8038.
