The Bugle Babes will make their Summer Season debut with The Andrews Sisters Show, and on Saturday 2nd July at 8pm, back by popular demand, The Diamond Experience will perform their high energy tribute to Neil Diamond. During a time in WWII when American teenagers were doing the Jitterbug, and Uncle Sam was asking young men to enlist, The Andrews Sisters were the Number 1 group on the hit parade. "][/caption] Today, The Bugle Babes, a 1940’s style harmony group based on the wartime sweethearts, ’The Andrews Sisters’, are reviving this fantastic music at venues all across the country. Formed by Derby Browne in 2007, The Bugle Babes perform timeless classics including Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Chatanooga Choo-Choo and Don’t Fence Me In, as well as modern songs given a vintage treatment by artists including Beyonce Knowles, The Bangles and Blondie. Described as ‘Terrific!’ by Pat Kenny on RTE’s The Late Late Show, The Andrews Sisters Show combines fantastic tunes, superb choreography, slick singing, tight harmonies and seamed stockings – all the right ingredients for a ‘sing-sational’ trip down memory lane! Neil Diamond has been one of the most popular artists in the world for over thepast 40 years and still thrills audiences worldwide in live performance. Next to seeing the man himself, The Diamond Experience is the best way to enjoy the magic of his music. A full live musical production, the show features all the top hits from Neil Diamond’s best selling albums, including favourites, Sweet Caroline, Cracklin’ Rose, Hello Again, America, Song Sung Blue and the beautiful duet, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers. Don’t forget to pop down to the Promenade at 1pm and 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon where Grant Goldie will invite you into his charming world of chance and opportunity…not merely a juggling show, more a projectile assault on gravity!
