Last Sunday at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Â the NABBA Bodybuilding Federation held their NABBA Bodybuilding Championships.
NABBA Ireland President Paul Byrne said he had promised this show in 2014 was to be the biggest and best show to date reflecting the  massive interest in the growing sport of Bodybuilding and Fitness all over the country.
The highlight of the night was there was A professional Division the end of the event. Â These athletes who qualified for thsi stage to compete as pros had to produce their Pro Card to compete so these were the best of the best all over the world.
There was three athletes competing in this Category… the first up was Dublin man Tommy Staunton, second was Rodrigo Atis from Brazil, and third was Tony Mount from Kilkeel in Co Down.
As the Judging started the three athletes were neck on neck but Tony Mount was looking the biggest and sharpest. As the places were called for the NABBA Ireland Pro Division Champion, 3rd place went to The Brazilian Rodrigo Atis, second place went to Tommy Staunton from Dublin and the winner was a delighted Kilkeel’s Tony Mount.
Speaking after the event, Tony said: “I an really happy to win at this stage. I am using this competition for my warm-up to the following event the NABBA Pro Universe being held in the near future in Southport in England. I will really have to focus hard for that one as the competition will again be fierce.”
Tony thanked all his friends and family for their support in helpong him get to where he is today in the world rankings.
