Downpatrick Residents Rev Up Their Careers

RECENTLY South Eastern Regional College launched the second ‘Driving To Success’ program.

Over thirty residents in the Downpatrick Neighbourhood Renewal areas aged 17 and over have enrolled onto the programme and been put into the driving seat to pick up the pace on their own careers with free driving lessons.

This unique and innovative programme is now in its tenth week of an intensive 15 week course offering the opportunity to gain essential vocational training in the areas of oil boiler maintenance, retail training, food hygiene and grow to cook as well as gain a recognised qualification in IT skills and personal development.

The programme will put them on the right track and steer them to success as they obtain essential vocational training and employment skills.
