Preparations are well underway for May’s Three Lakes Challenge race near Downpatrick.
Now in its seventh year, the 15K race starts and finishes at the Lakeside Inn on Saturday, 11 May taking runners past Ballydugan, Magheralagan and Loughinisland lakes.
The event – which starts at 11am – is being sponsored by Strangford Fuels and D&N Blinds in partnership with AtlasRunning, East Down Athletic Club and Lakeside Inn to raise funds for Mainstay DRP.
The annual race continues to grow in popularity and is once again being organised by Downpatrick Lions Club which does so much to support local, national and international charities.
There is also a 7k run and 7k walk with all competitors chipped to record their times. Medals will be awarded and there will be a free hot dog for all competitors at the finish line.
Organisers are promising something for everyone and a warm welcome awaits all runners and walkers helping to raise funds for the designated charity.
Members of the public, friends and supporters are all welcome to attend and refreshments will be available at the Lakeside Inn following the event.
Alternatively, runners and walkers can email Adrian at: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07876 560015 for further information. Participants can also register on the day at the Lakeside Inn.
