New research commissioned by Macmillan suggests that 14% of men put off reporting worrying symptoms, including a lump or suspicious mole, because they are not comfortable talking about changes to their bodies.

The YouGov poll of 985 men revealed that up to a quarter of men working in the building and construction industry would not talk to anyone about changes to their health because they would not want to admit that they were worried. Macmillan hopes its campaign will break the trend.
