“We are seeking an end to the two tier health system and we will fight the ongoing Tory-led cuts to our healthcare system. Locally, we have challenged the North’s Health Minister Michael McGimpsey and cuts in funding to the Downe Hospital. However, to achieve this, the Department of Health and the South eastern Health and Social Care Trust Trust must honor their commitments and fund these essential services. The launch last Friday of our party manifesto on health makes clear our commitment to ensuring everyone has a proper standard of healthcare. “The new Downe Hospital should ensure a range of services are available in what is a state-of-the-art building.”]]>
