Team Management 2011The Committee are pleased to announce that Edward Magee will be resuming his duties as senior team manager, he will again be assisted by Ryan Kelly, while Eamon McEvoy and Kieran Shields will also be joining the Coaching team. Noel Teggart and Mickey Curran have teamed up to manage the Reserve team and Ryan Kelly and Ciaran Dorrian have been appointed Minor managers. Management of remaining Juvenile teams will be announced next week. Training for all Senior, Reserve and Minor players begins on Monday 31st Jan @ 6.45 followed by team meetings.

Membership 2011

2011 membership fees are now due; Adult playing £40, Adult membership £20, Minor £15, All U16s £10, Family £50. All fees to be paid to Club Registrar; Pamela Murphy. Only fully paid up members will be eligible to apply for Down tickets in 2011 and No Pay No Play policy will be in operation. Juvenile Presentation [caption id="attachment_19102" align="alignleft" width="400" caption="The juvenile prize winners at Ardglass presentation night with Ardglass player Michael Magee now on the Down panel and Down star Martin Clarke."][/caption] On Friday past the club held their annual Juvenile presentation night in the Old School Dunsford, Special guests for the night where 2010 GAA All Star Marty Clarke and Ardglass’ own Michael Magee. On the night all u8s and U10s received a certificate for their participation in the coaching sessions and the East Down Go Games. Other winners on the night as follows: U-12 Prize winners -xa0 Padriag Fitzsimmons, Stewart Kahla and Christopher Gower U-14 Prize winners – Cavan Flynn, Caolan O’Shea and Ronan Crangle U-16 Boys prize winners – Shane Teggart, David Armstrong and Anthony Costello U=16 Girls prize winners – Hannah Magee, Daneagh Magee and Emma Fennan.

Gaelic for Girls 2011

The club hopes to offer Gaelic Football coaching for all Primary and post Primary girls in the Parish in 2011, however to achieve this aim the club requires more coaches to help the existing ladies coaches, if any one is willing to help with ladies coaching please contact Paul on 07938915183 for further details Night at the Races The Annual Night at the Races will be held in the Dock Inn on Saturday 29th Jan @8.30pm . Horses are available from all committee members @ £5 per horse and £30xa0 to sponsor a race. Come along and support your club and have a great nights craic at the races. Lotto and Monthly Developmentxa0 Draw No Lotto winners last week and only one £10 winner, tickets available from all committee members and various outlets in the village, IK Meats, The Dock Inn and Seagems Monthly draw winners for January 1st: R Dorrian 2nd T Curran. The committee are currently finalising plans to revise and revamp the monthly development draw, which will be launched in February , more details next week.]]>
