Our U14 girls have been on fire this week with 2 wins in the bag after beating Saul on Tuesday evening and beating Castlewellan on Sunday afternoon!

Leaving them second in the League – top is Saval who are on the same points but have a higher point difference writes Alannah Megoran, Club PRO.

FULL TIME SCORE:

St John’s 4.8 – 2.5 SAUL GAC.

The St John’s first team.

U12 Boys Go-Games: Well done to our younger U12 team who took on a strong Bredagh GAC team this morning at Pairc Naomh Eoin!

The first half saw us under a lot of pressure against a strong breeze but the boys defended brilliantly, curtailing Bredagh to just a handful of scores.

The second half saw the johnnies push up the field a bit more and they took some lovely scores.

8 of the team are still U10, so a great opportunity to develop their skills.

The Under 12 boys team.

U8 Go-Games:

Our U8 girls continued their season in a sunny meadow earlier yesterday! We had14 girls took to field and played brilliantly against Castlewellan and Bryansford teams!

This is only the girls 3rd blitz and it’s remarkable how strong they are and how much they have developed. More importantly, they always play with a smile on their face and are a joy to watch!

Thanks to Turbo and Colly who are doing a great job. The future is bright, the future is red and amber!

Feeling left out by the exploits of the u8 on girls on saturday, our U8 men’s team quickly assembled and invited St Michael’s to a duel across the river at St John’s on Sunday morning!

St Michael’s clearly hurting from the their first encounter a few weeks ago came with the bit between their teeth, very competitive matches was the order of the day, with coaches Paul and Topper delighted with both teams performance.

We have had a great weekends football with our youngest members this weekend.

Underage success is determined by measuring smiles and by building friendships at St John’s!
