Police Appeal After Castlewellan Assault On 25 January

dn_screenPolice in Newcastle are appealing for information following an assault in the Upper Square area of Castlewellan on 25 January.

Inspector Mark Peters explained: “At approximately 2.30am, a man was struck on the head with a bottle. He required hospital treatment for the injuries he sustained.

“There were a large number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any other information, to contact police at Newcastle on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, information about crime can be passed to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by telephoning 0800 555 111.”
