Newry Mourne and Down Council Launches Corporate Plan 2024-2027
Newry Mourne and Down District Council has published its third Corporate Plan, which covers the period from 2024 – 2027.
As one of the largest councils in Northern Ireland they are on a transformational journey and over the past two years have made significant progress towards realising its goals.
The Corporate Plan outlines the Council’s eight strategic objectives and the principal projects identified to support this transformation across the district and internally within our organisation.
In delivering this Corporate Plan, the Council will continue to work closely with its partners in government and the private, voluntary and community sectors to achieve better outcomes and deliver high-quality services for its citizens.
Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Pete Byrne said: “While there are many challenges, the Council is committed to delivering on the eight Strategic Objectives detailed in the Corporate Plan which you have identified as important.
“These priorities focus upon supporting the continued growth and development of our local economy, health and wellbeing, protection and enhancing our environment, supporting regenerative tourism opportunities, revitalising our district, providing sustainable services, advocating for the benefit of all people of the district and empowering communities to play an active part in civic life.
“The Council’s collaborative approach with partners and communities offers a path to redesigning and delivering services that are responsive to local needs. This Corporate Plan is our commitment to you.”
