Independent Councillor Patrick Clarke Welcomes Council Play Park Signage In Dundrum

dn_screenIndependent Slieve Croob Councillor Patrick Clarke has requested the erection of new road signage near De Courcey Way, Dundrum turning into St. Donard’s Walk, Dundrum warning drivers of the Council play park ahead at the bottom of St. Donard’s Walk.
Councillor Patrick Clarke said: “Following a number of complaints I had made representations to the Director of Active and Healthy Communities regarding the erection of new signage near De Courcey Way.

“Currently the turn into St. Donard’s Walk leads onto a short stretch of straight roadway. I had recently been contacted by local residents regarding some drivers not being aware of the Council Play Park and as a result not reducing their speed.

“I have now received written confirmation from the Assistant Director of Leisure and Sport at Council that a site visit was made toxa0St. Donard’s Walk.

“I would like to thank Council for addressing this matter so speedily in the interests of the safety of those using the Council Play Park at St. Donard’s Walk.”
