DUP Welcome Footpath Improvements In Hinch

[/caption] The work to footpaths in the Willow Park area of Langley Road was carried out by DRD Roads Service after lobbying by the DUP following representations from local people. Election candidate Yvonne Moore said, “Not long after he was elected as Member of Parliament for Ballynahinch, Jim Shannon hosted a walkabout around the Langley Road estate which identified a range of issues the local community wanted attention given to. One issue was the poor state of repair of some footpaths in the estate.xa0 Many were flagstones which had degraded badly over time creating a health and safety hazard. “We warmly welcome DRD Roads Service’s positive response to our requests for work on these footpaths.xa0 Hugh Morgan and the local Section Office are to be thanked for taking on board and acting upon the representations made to them by local people after our walkabout. “We are determined to continue to work closely with the people of Langley Road and the newly formed Langley Road Community Group to bring further improvements to the area”, added Yvonne Moore. ]]>
