The sun was shining for the inaugural Down Business Connect charity golf day, which took place last Friday 6th May at Ardglass Golf Club.
Over 20 four-balls teed-off raising over £1,600 for two nominated charities.
Newcastle-based MYMY (Mind Your Mate and Yourself) and Remap NI both received a donation of £800 from the one-day event, and it was a double celebration for MYMY with a Mind Yourself Mind Your Mate (MYMY) team taking home the prize for Best Team on the day.
In addition to Best Team, a host of prizes were presented and Paul Rogan from McGrady Financial Services was awarded 1st place, with Alan Johnston coming in 2nd and PJ Bradley being named in 3rd place.
Vice Chairperson of Down Business Connect and local businessman, Kieran McMahon from McMahon People Solutions said: “Our inaugural Down Business Connect golf day was a huge success and to raise over £1,600 in one day was a superb achievement. It’s thanks to the support of Down Business Connect members and Ardglass Golf Club that the day was such a success and we look forward to making this event an annual outing.”
