Cabin Crew Show SERC The Sky Is The Limit

SERC travel and tourism students got an insight into the aviation industry thanks to a unique visit from representatives from renowned travel organisations Emirates and Thomas Cook.

Emirates representative Liam Fegan has worked for the company for 10 years, while Janet Haskins has been working for Thomas Cook for 20 years. The combined 30 years’ experience inspired students as they listened to ‘day in the life’ stories and asked questions to the cabin crew duo.

Travel and Tourism lecturer Colm Toner said: “It has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to get an insight into the life of a cabin crew member and working within the aviation field of the travel and tourism industry.

“It has been a pleasure to welcome them both into our classroom and as a result, our students are inspired and enthused from listening to them. Student feedback has been positive and these opportunities prove to be the catalyst for students as they explore their career options.”
