Alliance MLA Patrick Brown Praises Drive For Ukraine Initiative
Alliance MLA Patrick Brown recently met with Anthony Hughes from Drive For Ukraine NI.
Anthony has twice made the lengthy journey to Ukraine by car to drop off much needed medical supplies and diesel generators.
The ambulance fleet and medical cars in Ukraine has been depleted due to the ongoing conflict and Ukrainian volunteers have resorted to using 4×4 cars as a means of transportation for those sick and injured.
Patrick Brown said: “The Ukrainian war has had a devastating impact on civilians.
“Anthony’s work is filling a need that is perhaps unseen in the conflict.
“He has done fantastic and selfless work to fundraise huge amounts of money and make the dangerous journey to Ukraine.

“Anthony plans to make his third journey to Ukraine at the end of July. He is currently £3000 off his target and welcomes all support and donations towards his work.”
Anthony Hughes said: “Rarely in our lives do we have the opportunity to help in a situation where the differences in Good and Evil are so plain to see.
“I will continue to help the Ukrainian people for as long as necessary and am incredibly grateful for the local support assisting with the purchase of critical equipment that saves lives.”
