Police in Newcastle are appealing for information following the theft of petrol from a filling station in the Clough area on 27 October.
Constable Paul Connolly explained: “Just before 8pm, two men carrying oil drums walked onto the forecourt of the premises in the Main Street area of the village. They filled the drums with fuel before heading off in the direction of the Downpatrick Road.
“One of the men is described as being aged 18-24, 5ft 8ins in height and of slim build. He had short light brown hair and was wearing a black jacket, a light blue hooded top and jeans. The other man is also described as being aged 18-24 and of slim build. He had short fair hair and was wearing a black tracksuit with a luminous green stripe.
“It is believed the males may have got into a vehicle parked in the Downpatrick Road area.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and who noticed the males, or any suspicious activity, to contact me at Newcastle police station on the non-emergency number 101.”
