Police appeal for info following car damage in Newcastle

Police in Downpatrick are appealing for witnesses following a report of damage being caused to a car in the Valentia Place area of Newcastle.

A Police Service spokesperson said: “It was reported that damage was caused to all four panels of the vehicle, which was parked outside a house.

“It is believed that this occurred sometime between 7.30pm on Sunday March 26th, and 8am on Monday March 27th.

“Enquiries are underway, and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or may have any CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact 101, and quote reference number 1038 of 28/03/23.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
