Yvonne Moore becomes new DUP Rowallene councillor

Yvonne Moore (52), a key member of Jim Shannon’s advice team, is stepping up onto Newry MOurne and Down District Council as a DUP councillor.

Originally from Killinchy, Yvonne has lived in Killyleagh for over 20 years.

Yvonne has worked for Strangford MP Jim Shannon for 12 years as a benefits advisor, specialising in meetings with vulnerable and elderly people facing difficulties in the community.

Yvonne Moore is to represent the DUP for the Rowellane area on Newry Mourne and Down District Council.

As a mother of three and grandmother of little Freya (4), Yvonne’s compassionate nature and people skills have helped hundreds of people over the years.

Jim Shannon welcomed Yvonne into her new position and said: “Working closely with the community in Killyleagh, she has a passion for people and is determined to be a voice on Newry Mourne and Down District Council for the often overlooked Rowellane area.

“Yvonne has been an invaluable member of the DUP team and is looking forward to working with the team in NMD as well as across the rest of the Province.
