WarerAid Appeals for Funds in Novel Way

LOCAL County Down children have been making a wish with a difference.

Pictured are children from County Down as they put the first donation in to their colourful toilet with a little help from Anna Marshall, NI Water education officer.

To celebrate World Toilet Day on 19 November, NI Water’s education team have been helping the children make their very own ‘wishing loo’ to raise funds for WaterAid.xa0 The children can throw money into the ‘toilet’ and make a wish while raising awareness that there are still 2.6 billion people in the world who do not have access to a safe, private or hygienic toilet.

To play a part in improving hygiene and basic living conditions for two-fifths of the world’s population, you can make a donation to WaterAid by logging on to www.wateraid.org or phoning 0845 6000 433.
