Visit The Three Countries In Market Lane In Downpatrick

Come try out The Three Countries eastern European food shop in Market Lane in Downpatrick

Tucked away in the centre Downpatrick in Market Lane just off Market Street leading to the main car park, there is a shop which offers a wide selection of tasty Eastern European foods.

Jurgita Jundo has been managing the small store called the Three Countries for Lithuanian-born Ainoras Razgus and it is open daily.

In the refigerated section you will find a selection of cheeses, some smoked, but there is a mouth-watering range of sausages, smoked, spicy, garlic flavoured and so on and cold meats – you will be spoiled for choice.

There is quite a large Lithuanian population between Downpatrick and Castlewellan, and they are steady customers along with other Eastern Europeans nationals also working in the area.

But Jurgita said that many local people are welcome to come in and see the great selection of food available.

In Three Countries you can get some tasty rye (black) bread and other items including chocolates, sweets, drinks.

And if you like pickled cabbage and gherkins and jars of food that promotes good gut health, then call in and have a browse around.

The Three Countries caters mostly for eastern European tastes but Jurgita will help you out if you are stuck with understanding the labels.

The cold meat section again has a lot to offer and you’ll find pork patĂ©, rustic port loin, and other ham products, including their tasty hot dogs.

And there are tasty treats too for the kids – something different!

So call in to The Three Countries. Everyone is very welcome!

Variety is the spice of life!
