Visit The Portaferry Visitor Centre Exhibition On The Historic Built Environment

dn_screenPortaferry’s Visitor Information Centre, managed by Ards Borough Council, is to showcase the work undertaken by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency to record, protect, conserve and promote the historic built environment.

From historic monuments and buildings to maritime and industrial heritage sites, the exhibition will provide an insight into the NIEA archive and how to access the information it holds, as well as an opportunity to find out about the 2014 event programme which includes living history re-enactments and archaeology demonstrations to bring history and heritage to life.

The exhibition runs until 30th June at the Visitor Information Centre in Portaferry and admission is free.
