Visit The Footsteps in the Forest Food Fayre

Slieve Gullion is coming to life again with a magical two days andxa0Newry Mourne and Down District Council invites you to experience the mystery of Footsteps in the Forest and its Artisan Food Fayre at Slieve Gullion Forest Park Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June.

The food fayre will become the venue for all kinds of tasty offerings and children’s activities. Whether you want to indulge or stick to healthy dishes, there will be food and drink of all sizes, shapes and flavours and there is something for the whole family.

Council Chairperson Cllr Gillian Fitzpatrick invites you to experience the magic of Slieve Gullion.

Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick said: “Food and drink have become increasingly important to tourism as they offer visitors the opportunity to learn about our heritage, landscape and culture and meet our people.

“Food producers have a deep love for their craft and given the range that will be on offer I guarantee you will be spoilt for choice”.

Shane Neary from Neary Nogs Chocolate said: “Footsteps in the Forest is an exciting event allowing local food producers to work closely with Newry Mourne and Down District Council in helping promote the wonderful and exciting produce that our area has to offer and to add a real taste to local tourism”.
