Visit The Autumn Plant Fair At Rowallane Garden

Ever wonder why leaves change colour in late summer? Well it’s all about temperature of the air at night…

Averil Milligan, Head Gardener said: “Plants respond to triggers, things like changes in daylight length and temperature send signals to the plant to change growth habits. Autumn is a fabulous time to move plants when the soil is still warm and the growing season is closing down. Plants get a chance to settle down with as little stress as possible and will grow on without the check next spring”.
