UFU In Westminster To Champion NI Farming

UFU in Westminster to champion NI farming.

UFU president, Ivor Ferguson, was in London this week showcasing the best of Northern Ireland’s produce as part of Back British Farming day, organised by the National Farmers Union and supported by the other UK farming unions.

Held on the 12thxa0September at Westminster, it coincided with the UK Government’s launch of the UK’s post-Brexit Agriculture Bill. Mr Ferguson said: “It was an excellent opportunity to speak to MP’s from across the UK to ensure they fully recognise the importance of food and farming.

“Farmers work hard to produce high quality, safe, delicious and affordable food for consumers and this cannot be taken for granted. Now more than ever, the UK needs an agriculture policy that supports sustainable and profitable food production.”
